Author Guidelines

1. About the Journal

Health Focus Journal (HF) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that publishes scientific articles contributing to the advancement of health and healthcare. The journal covers a broad range of health-related disciplines and welcomes manuscripts from researchers, academics, health professionals, practitioners, and students.

The journal is published four times a year, in September, December, March, and June. Health Focus Journal operates under an open-access policy and does not charge an Article Processing Charge (APC).

2. Types of Manuscripts

Health Focus Journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

1. Original Research Articles
2. Case Reports
3. Literature Reviews
4. Perspectives
5. Scientific Communications
6. Book Reviews
7. Letters to the Editor

Case report manuscripts should include a minimum of three respondents or cases.

3. General Requirements

Authors should ensure that manuscripts:

• Are relevant to the focus and scope of Health Focus Journal.
• Present original work that has not been previously published.
• Are not under consideration by another journal during the submission process.
• Are written clearly and concisely in English.
• Follow the journal's formatting and manuscript structure requirements.
• Include appropriate citations and references.
• Comply with relevant research ethics requirements.
• Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
• Obtain permission for the use of copyrighted material where necessary.

4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should generally contain the following sections, depending on the type of article:

The structure of Perspectives, Scientific Communications, Book Reviews, and Letters to the Editor may be adjusted according to the nature and purpose of the manuscript.

5. Title and Author Information

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and overly broad statements.

All authors should be listed with their full names and institutional affiliations. The corresponding author should be clearly identified and provide a valid email address.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the work.

6. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the manuscript and should be understandable without referring to the main text.

For original research articles, the abstract is recommended to include:

• Background
• Objective
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusion

Authors should provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the main topics of the manuscript.

7. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text.

Each table and figure should have a clear and informative title or caption. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all tables, figures, photographs, and other visual materials are of sufficient quality and comply with copyright requirements.

8. References

Authors should cite relevant and reliable sources. References should be accurate and complete and consistently follow the citation style required by the journal.

Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scientific literature and to include appropriate references from peer-reviewed journals.

9. Research Ethics

Manuscripts reporting research involving human participants, human data, animals, or identifiable personal information must comply with applicable ethical standards.

Where required, authors must obtain approval from an appropriate research ethics committee or institutional review board. Informed consent should be obtained from participants when applicable.

For case reports, appropriate consent for publication must be obtained when the information could potentially identify the participant.

10. Plagiarism and Originality

Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct.

The journal may use plagiarism or similarity detection software during the editorial process. Manuscripts that violate the journal's originality requirements may be rejected.

11. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence the research or interpretation of the findings.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should state this clearly in the manuscript.

12. Funding

Authors should disclose all sources of financial support for the research and publication. If the research received no specific funding, this should also be stated.

13. Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide a data availability statement where appropriate. Authors should indicate whether research data are available and, where possible, explain how the data can be accessed.

14. Submission and Peer Review

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all required files and information are provided during submission.

All eligible manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment before being sent for peer review. The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that are outside the journal's scope, do not meet basic academic or ethical requirements, or fail to comply with the submission guidelines.

15. Revision and Publication

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' and editors' comments. Revised manuscripts should be submitted within the specified timeframe and should clearly address all reviewer comments.

The final decision regarding acceptance and publication is made by the editor based on the manuscript's scientific quality, relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal's requirements.

16. Article Processing Charge

Health Focus Journal does not charge authors any Article Processing Charge (APC). There are no publication fees for accepted manuscripts.

17. Copyright and Open Access

Health Focus Journal supports open access to scientific knowledge. Published articles are made freely available to readers in accordance with the journal's open-access and copyright policies.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with applicable copyright and publication requirements.
